Home! And Intense Chemo Done!

Here are some pictures to go with the descriptions of the last few days' posts:

Rash and hives

Trick or treating on the cancer floor (shortly before leaving our vampire-like blood trail :) Izzy not feeling the best here. Notice the pink cowboy boots won over the red costume matching boots.

SuperGirl all tuckered out (after this nap she started feeling much better).

Visit from the Sisters--much needed on Halloween night.

Our ice cream / popcorn / movie party to celebrate our return and end of intense chemo phase. As you can see Ryan did what she's best at and took our basement/playroom down to China Town!

We are so happy for you that the hard chemo is over but know that recovery can be equally difficult. It is amazing how much the accompanying drugs are helping so that when chemo stops you sometimes feel worse before you feel better. Izzy is so brave and so cute!! What a SUPERgirl with SUPERparents and SUPERsiblings. Our prayers are with you all.

It breaks my heart to think of everything you are all going through. I can't believe how strong one little girl can be. (I can't even get my kids to cooperate with getting one little flu shot!) You are all SUPER with SUPER strength. I am so happy to hear the intense chemo is done. We'll keep you all in our prayers.

We've been computer-less for the last month and I've missed checking in with you guys. My eyes were full of tears as I read about the last month for you all. The push at the end of the phase is rough and I am sorry for Izzy's pains. It is amazing to see how strong our little girls are. That makes me cry too...
Maintenance will be a much better place, right?! :)
Our love,
The Hansens
